Village- Kesramal District- Sundargarh, Orissa As a small girl Sapna Lakra was moved at the sight of people suffering from disease and sickness and succumbing to it, she always wanted to be a doctor when she grew up. Ironically this remains as distant reality, if you belong to a family with modest means and reside in one of the most backward districts of the state. Sapna Lakra, now 28 years old, married and with one girl child, reiterates that even though she could not fulfill her dreams, her resolve to help people suffering from disease and illness has not diminished over the years. ...
